HÜDA PAR Deputies call for stronger anti-addiction measures in meeting with Health Minister

HÜDA PAR Spokesperson and Batman MP Serkan Ramanlı, together with Mersin MP Faruk Dinç, met with Health Minister Kemal Memişoğlu to discuss urgent public health issues, emphasizing the need for stronger action against substance addiction and addressing employment concerns in the health sector.
During the meeting at the Ministry of Health, Ramanlı and Dinç underlined the alarming rise of substance addiction, especially among the youth, and urged the government to implement more effective and widespread preventive measures. Drawing on HÜDA PAR’s extensive fieldwork and community outreach, the MPs presented detailed insights into the challenges faced in combating addiction and proposed comprehensive solutions to the Minister.
In addition to addressing the addiction crisis, the MPs advocated for the appointment of health personnel awaiting placement, including electroneurophysiology technicians and medical secretaries. They stressed the importance of reinforcing the healthcare workforce to meet growing demands and improve service delivery across the country.
Health Minister Kemal Memişoğlu was reported to have attentively listened to the issues and proposals raised by the HÜDA PAR deputies. However, no immediate commitments or policy announcements were made following the meeting.
HÜDA PAR’s intervention highlights ongoing concerns about both public health threats and employment bottlenecks within Türkiye’s healthcare system, as calls for decisive action continue to grow. (ILKHA)
