HÜDA PAR launches signature campaign to demand prosecution of dual-citizen Israeli soldiers

The Free Cause Party (HÜDA PAR) has launched a nationwide signature campaign demanding the passage of a bill that would allow for the prosecution of dual-citizen Israeli soldiers involved in war crimes and massacres in Gaza.
The move comes in response to the Turkish Parliament’s decision not to debate the proposed legislation, which had been accepted for discussion more than a year ago.
The bill, first introduced in the Turkish Grand National Assembly (TBMM) on July 9, 2024, aims to hold accountable dual nationals who participated in the genocidal crimes of the Israeli occupation regime. Supported by eight political parties at the time, the proposal was approved for general debate but has since been left dormant, prompting strong criticism from HÜDA PAR.
In a written statement, the party expressed disappointment over the lack of progress: “The bill we submitted to Parliament for the prosecution of genocidal dual citizens in Türkiye was accepted for direct discussion in the General Assembly with the support of eight parties. However, despite the time that has passed, no steps have been taken, and our bill has been swept under the rug.”
HÜDA PAR emphasized that recent Israeli actions — including attacks on the Sumud and Freedom flotillas bound for Gaza — have once again revealed the urgency and necessity of the legislation.
“The Zionist regime continues to commit crimes with impunity, targeting aid ships and innocent civilians alike,” the statement said. “This makes our bill not just necessary but a moral duty for every person of conscience.”
To rally public support, HÜDA PAR announced the launch of its signature campaign, inviting Turkish citizens to join in demanding justice for the victims of Israeli aggression.
“We now entrust our bill, which we prepared for the prosecution of Zionist murderers, to our beloved nation,” the statement declared. “We invite all people of conscience to support our signature campaign.”
The campaign can be accessed at imza.hudapar.org and has rapidly gained momentum online under the hashtag #ÜlkemdeSiyonistİstemiyorum (“I don’t want Zionists in my country”), which has garnered widespread attention and solidarity across social media platforms.
HÜDA PAR reiterated that the initiative is not merely a political effort, but a national and moral call to justice, urging all sectors of society to unite against Israeli war criminals and stand with the people of Palestine.
“Our message is clear,” the party said. “Zionist criminals must not find refuge or impunity in our country. Türkiye must stand on the side of the oppressed, not the oppressors.”
The campaign reflects growing public outrage in Türkiye over Israel’s ongoing crimes in Gaza and the international community’s failure to hold Israeli perpetrators accountable. HÜDA PAR’s initiative seeks to transform that outrage into legislative action — ensuring that those complicit in genocide and occupation will face justice, even beyond the borders of Palestine.
