Thousands in Gaziantep salute Gaza’s triumph over Israeli aggression
Thousands of people filled the streets of Gaziantep on Thursday evening to express their unwavering solidarity with the Palestinian resistance and the steadfast people of Gaza.
The mass march, organized by the Prophet's Lovers Foundation (Peygamber Sevdalıları Vakfı), carried the powerful theme “From the Al-Aqsa Flood to the Gaza Victory,” symbolizing the Muslim world’s shared hope for the liberation of Palestine.
Following the evening prayers, crowds gathered in front of Grand Mosque, waving Palestinian flags and chanting slogans glorifying the resistance and condemning the Israeli occupation. The participants then marched to 15 July Democracy Square, filling the streets with chants such as “Down with Zionism!” and “Long live the resistance of Gaza!”
After the recitation of the Holy Qur’an at the square, Muhammet Ata Yaçin, President of the Prophet Lovers Association, addressed the gathering, describing the Gaza resistance as a “historic and divine victory.”
“Those sitting comfortably at home cannot judge those on the front lines,” Yaçin said passionately. “Those whose stomachs are full cannot understand those who face hunger for the sake of Allah. Those watching the war from their screens cannot judge those who are defending Gaza with their lives.”
Yaçin praised the Hamas-led resistance for becoming a beacon of courage and faith for the entire Muslim ummah.
“Hamas today is like the Ashab al-Ukhdud of this ummah,” he declared. “They sacrificed themselves and awakened the conscience of the world, exposing the ugliness of Zionism. Israel lost tens of thousands of soldiers, its false image as an ‘invincible army,’ and the normalization it sought with Muslim nations.”
Emphasizing the collective duty to rebuild Gaza, Yaçin urged Muslims to continue the struggle not only through solidarity but also through economic resistance and boycott.
“Reconstruction of Gaza is the responsibility of the ummah,” he stated. “We see the financial boycott against the Israeli products as a form of jihad. Let even a single morsel of their goods be forbidden to us. Tomorrow belongs to the believers — tomorrow belongs to Gaza, tomorrow belongs to Hamas.”
The rally concluded with heartfelt prayers for the martyrs of Palestine and the victory of the resistance.
The Gaziantep demonstration was one of many held across Türkiye in recent weeks, as the nation continues to stand firmly with Gaza and the Palestinian cause amid the end of the brutal Zionist war on the enclave. (ILKHA)
