ITTIHADUL ULEMA announces 9th gathering of Islamic scholars in Diyarbakır
The Union of Scholars and Madrassas (ITTIHADUL ULEMA) announced on Saturday that it will hold its 9th annual gathering of Islamic scholars in Diyarbakır on October 5-6.
The event will feature distinguished scholars from various Islamic countries, with a particular focus on Türkiye.
The theme of this year's gathering is "The Aqsa Flood, the Ummah and the Ulema's Responsibility (Gaza, the Honor of the Ummah)," reflecting the ongoing crisis in Gaza and the broader responsibilities of Islamic scholars.
The "gathering of scholars" has been held annually since 2015, attracting participants from countries such as Iraq, Iran, Syria, Palestine, Egypt, Afghanistan, Qatar, Lebanon, Sudan, Jordan, and Sudan.
This year's event will take place at the Selahaddin Eyyubi Mosque Complex Conference Hall in Diyarbakır.
Scholars from across the region will engage in discussions aimed at highlighting the role of religious leaders in addressing the challenges facing Gaza and the broader Muslim community.
The event is expected to attract significant attention, with participants sharing insights on how the ummah and its leaders can respond to ongoing Israeli aggression and humanitarian crises in the region. (ILKHA)
