A magnitude 4.4 earthquake struck off the coast of Eceabat in Türkiye's northwestern Çanakkale province, the Disaster and Emergency Management Presidency (AFAD) announced on its website.
The earthquake occurred at approximately 14:34 Turkish Standard Time (TSI) on Thursday. According to AFAD, the epicenter was located at a latitude of 40.41778°N and a longitude of 26.23861°E, with a depth of 25.5 kilometers.
Authorities reported no immediate damage or casualties resulting from the quake. Residents in the surrounding areas felt minor tremors, but life in the region appeared to continue without disruption.
