Prophet’s Lovers Foundation launches 2026 Sirat al-Nabi contest with Umrah prizes

The Prophet’s Lovers Foundation (Peygamber Sevdalıları Vakfı) has officially launched its annual Sirat al-Nabi Exam, one of Türkiye’s most spiritually anticipated events, once again offering Umrah prizes to winners.
Drawing hundreds of thousands of participants each year, the nationwide contest aims to strengthen knowledge and love of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) among people of all ages.
The event, which opened for applications on October 17, 2025, aims to inspire a deeper connection with the Prophet’s exemplary character and foster spiritual growth, particularly among the youth.
Speaking on behalf of the foundation, Sirat al-Nabi Exam Commission Chairman Mehmet Emin Sütçü emphasized that the contest is more than an academic exercise. “This is not just a test of knowledge but a journey to nurture love for the Prophet and embody his noble morals,” Sütçü said, quoting the Qur’an: “Whoever obeys the Messenger has indeed obeyed Allah” (An-Nisā 4:80) and a Hadith: “None of you truly believes until I am dearer to him than his father, his child, and all of mankind” (Bukhari).
Sütçü highlighted the Prophet’s role as a “mercy to the worlds” and stressed the relevance of his teachings in today’s fast-paced world. “In an era of moral challenges, the Prophet’s principles of brotherhood, justice, compassion, and honesty offer timeless solutions. This contest is an educational movement to help participants build character and strengthen social unity,” he said.
The Siyer Contest is open to participants of all ages and educational backgrounds, reflecting Türkiye’s deep spiritual values. It is divided into four categories:
Category 1: 4th and 5th-grade students
Category 2: 6th, 7th, and 8th-grade students
Category 3: High school students (9th–12th grades) and non-students born in or after 2010
Category 4: All other participants
Contestants will study designated books: “The Life of My Prophet” for Categories 1 and 2, and “The Beloved of Allah” by Mehmet Emin Sütçü for Categories 3 and 4, both published by Dua Yayıncılık.
Applications are open from October 17, 2025, to January 16, 2026, via the foundation’s website, www.peygambersevdalilari.com. The contest will take place on February 8, 2026, from 11:00 to 12:30 (TRT) at examination centers nationwide. Participants will receive their exam location details via email or SMS. The test will feature two question booklets (A and B), with 60 questions for Categories 1 and 2 and 75 questions for Categories 3 and 4, all graded on a 100-point scale.
The contest offers a range of prizes, including Umrah trips, laptops, bicycles, tablets, drones, telescopes, gold coins, and smartwatches. Categories 1 and 2 will award 400 and 600 prizes, respectively, while Categories 3 and 4 will each distribute 150 prizes, with Umrah trips as the highlight. Additionally, a special draw will award 16 quarter gold coins—four per category—open to all participants regardless of ranking.
Sütçü described the contest as a reflection of Türkiye’s devotion to its spiritual heritage. “This event is a testament to our nation’s love for the Prophet. It’s not about winning prizes but about connecting hearts to his blessed example, fostering faith, and building moral strength,” he said. The Lovers of the Prophet Foundation expressed gratitude to all contributors and invited participants to join this meaningful journey of spiritual discovery.
