Prophet's Lovers opens charity bazaar in Siirt to support needy families
The Prophet’s Lovers Association (Peygamber Sevdalıları Derneği) launched a four-day charity bazaar to support needy families, orphans, and students in Siirt.
The event, which opened today and runs through Tuesday, aims to raise funds to provide food packages for those in need.
Orhan Ay, President of the Siirt’s Prophet Lovers Association, invited residents to participate, emphasizing the bazaar's purpose. “We have organized this bazaar to support the less fortunate in our community,” Ay said. “We call on all Siirt residents to contribute and visit our event.”
The bazaar features a variety of homemade dishes, including desserts, döner, çiğ köfte, chicken over rice, and traditional meals, all prepared by local housewives. “These natural, delicious foods offer an affordable way for residents to enjoy meals while supporting a worthy cause,” Ay noted. He encouraged housewives to contribute dishes, adding, “Even a single plate of food can make you a partner in this charity, bringing blessings and helping those in need.”
Ay stressed the association’s role as a conduit for generosity. “We are merely a bridge, transferring donations from Siirt’s kind-hearted people to those who need them most,” he said, expressing gratitude to the community for their support.
The bazaar is expected to draw significant interest from Siirt residents, offering both a chance to enjoy local cuisine and an opportunity to make a difference. Ay invited everyone to stop by, enjoy a cup of tea, and contribute to this meaningful initiative. (ILKHA)
