Protesters in Ağrı urge Islamic world to defend Gaza by all means

Prophet’s Lovers Association organized a mass rally in front of Ağrı’s Central Mosque, declaring unwavering support for the Palestinian resistance and condemning the ongoing Israeli genocide in the Gaza Strip.
Speaking on behalf of the association, Burhan Aslan passionately emphasized that the brutal Israeli assault on Gaza is not an isolated event but a direct attack on the entire Islamic Ummah. “To defend Palestine is a divine, moral, and collective duty for every believer,” Aslan stated.
The rally came amid a growing chorus of calls across the Islamic world for more decisive action against the Zionist entity’s crimes. Aslan cited a fatwa by the World Union of Muslim Scholars, affirming that it is a religious obligation for Muslim nations to launch military intervention against the occupiers and that every Muslim bears the duty to support the resistance in Gaza. “This is not just Gaza’s jihad; it is the Ummah’s jihad,” Aslan declared.
The Prophet’s Lovers Association’s statement, resonating with thousands at the Agri rally, outlined a series of uncompromising demands: a complete economic, political, and military blockade against the Israeli regime; an immediate end to all normalization agreements with Israel, declaring such ties haram; the closure of U.S. military bases in Turkey, including Kürecik and Incirlik, for their role in supporting Israeli operations; the revocation of citizenship for individuals holding dual Israeli-Turkish nationality who serve in Israel’s occupying forces; and the criminal prosecution and asset confiscation of any such individuals involved in atrocities against Palestinians.
“We refuse to remain silent in the face of this occupation,” the statement said, also condemning governments like those of the UAE, Jordan, and Saudi Arabia for their complicity through normalization. “These regimes will be shaken by the divine retribution they have earned,” Aslan warned, invoking the promise of Allah to the oppressed.
Highlighting the importance of ‘financial jihad,’ Aslan called on Muslims to contribute to aid efforts, break the siege of Gaza, and pressure governments to open borders for the passage of humanitarian assistance. “Neutrality is complicity. Indifference is betrayal. Gaza must not be left alone,” he said.
The statement hailed the steadfastness of Palestinian fighters and honored resistance movements across the region, including Yemen and Syria, for rising against Israeli aggression. “It is not the people of Gaza who must leave. It is the occupying Zionist entity that must be expelled from the sacred land of Palestine,” he said.
Aslan concluded the rally with a resounding call to action: “The Ummah must stand united—militarily, politically, economically, and spiritually. This is a test of faith, and Gaza is the frontline of that test. The victory of Allah is near.”
The rally in Ağrı is part of a wave of mobilizations across Turkey and the Muslim world, where civil society groups, students, religious leaders, and ordinary citizens are increasingly demanding justice for Palestine and an end to Israeli apartheid and aggression. (ILKHA)
