Protesters in Diyarbakır hang effigy of Netanyahu in solidarity with Gaza
Outraged by the recent attacks of the israeli occupation in Gaza, a group of people in Diyarbakır took to the streets to express their solidarity with the Palestinian resistance.
In a symbolic act of protest, a puppet resembling israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu was hung on the walls of historical Diyarbakır.
Known for their steadfast support for the Palestinian cause, a group of young people carefully placed the effigy of Netanyahu on Diyarbakır's prominent landmarks, including the Goat's Bastion and Ten Eyed Bridge, where it could be seen by locals and visitors alike.
This symbolic gesture aimed at condemning the ongoing massacres and genocide committed by the zionist occupation regime in Gaza received positive feedback from the people of Diyarbakır.
The city has previously witnessed similar expressions of solidarity, including the hanging of a poster featuring Abu Ubeyde, the spokesperson of the Izz ad-Din al-Qassam Brigades of Hamas, on its UNESCO World Heritage Site walls.
As reactions to the ongoing events in Gaza continue to reverberate globally, this act of protest in Diyarbakir adds to the voices around the world condemning the actions of the Israeli government in the region. (ILKHA)
