Russian order of friendship from Putin to Cavit Çağlar

Russian President Vladimir Putin gave a sign of friendship to Turkish businessman Cavit Çağlar due to contributions to Turkish-Russian relations.
Russian President Vladimir Putin presented an order of friendship to businessman Cavit Çağlar, one of the active actors of Turkish politics, at a ceremony held in Kremlin.
At the ceremony held at the Kremlin Palace for the "Russian Union Day", Putin gave an order of friendship to the citizens of the six countries as well as Çağlar that contributed to the development of friendship and business union with their countries and Russia.
Caglar thanked the leaders of the two countries for their confidence for the Turkiye's relations with Russia over the difficulties experienced between the two countries thanks to the resolute stance of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and Putin in his speech at the awards ceremony.
Who is Cavit Çağlar?
Cavit Çağlar, who was born in 1944 in Gümülcine / Greece, was elected as a deputy from the Right Way Party for 3 terms and was became State Ministry. Entered into active politics through Süleyman Demirel, former Turkish Prime Minister. He owns Nergis Holding. He is also a member of RUYIAD (Association of Rumeli Managers and Businessmen).
During the political periods, the debts of the companies of Cavit Çağlar to the banks had exceeded 100 billion Turkish Liras. High school graduate Cavit Çağlar became ruling state minister in charge of Treasury and Ziraat Bank following the elections on October 20, 1991. On February 6, 2002, he was released. In 2004, Çağlar has sentenced to 3 years 10 months and 20 days imprisonment and 189 million 69 thousand 962 Turkish Liras in the scope of the case which the Supreme Court of Appeals broke twice.
