Thousands in Diyarbakır march for Gaza: “Open the crossings, end the genocide”

Hundreds of Diyarbakır residents rallied in support of Palestinians, who have faced nearly two years of brutal genocide and oppression under the Israeli occupation regime.
To draw attention to the genocide that has persisted for nearly two years and to shed light on the hunger and suffering endured by the steadfast Muslims of Gaza under the oppression of the occupation regime, citizens of Diyarbakır gathered at Fırat Boulevard in the central Kayapınar district. Carrying Palestinian flags and banners, and chanting slogans such as “Allahu Akbar,” they marched in solidarity toward the Yenihal Bridge Intersection.
Ramazan Tekdemir, the Provincial President of Memur-Sen Diyarbakır, who made a press statement on behalf of the Prophet's Lovers Foundation, started his statement with the 75th verse of Surah Nisa, "Our Lord, do you not fight on behalf of those who are left weak, men, women and children, who say, 'Our Lord, take us out of this land whose people are oppressors, and send us a guardian from Yourself, and send us a helper from Yourself? “We came together to respond to the call of HAMAS to the Islamic geography and the free people of the world to make the first week of August the ”Global Resistance Day". This call is such a call; it is a call to stand upright in the face of oppressors, to end the oppression of despots, and to take the side of the resistance. We flocked to the squares by taking the side of the oppressed and the resistance."
Stating that mass marches, demonstrations, speeches and press statements have a purpose, "The aim is to mobilize states to stop the brutal attacks against babies, children, women, patients and innocent civilians. It is aimed to take the necessary steps for the occupation regime to end the cruelty of hunger, thirst and lack of medicine. Allah is witness that if the weapons and means in the hands of the states were in the hands of the free rights of the world, this oppression would have ended long ago. If the people had a small part of the means of the states in their hands, the blood of so many oppressed people would not have been shed, children, women, civilians, brides and grooms with hennaed hands, babies and civilians would not have been massacred. We shared the call, cry and pain of our brothers and sisters and lit the torch of freedom. The free people of the world, who stand with Gaza, the oppressed and those who bear the honor of humanity, have taken sides with the resistance, have inspired a mass resistance, and have made an effort to destroy the oppressors and despots "said Tekdemir.
Emphasizing that the famine in Gaza is used as a weapon of genocide by the occupation regime, Tek "We do not expect anything from leaders who have power but have surrendered their will to the occupation regime. The most devastating thing is the position of those who challenge the Zionist occupation regime in rhetoric but do nothing in practice. The number of martyrs in Gaza, the number of wounded, the number of martyrs due to starvation, the number of people shot at the aid point is not just a statistical information, it is the severing of each life from life. How many more lives will be taken away, how many more mothers will be heartbroken, how many more babies and children will die of hunger to put a stop to this destruction? Isn't it time to stop the oppressor?"Tekdemir stressed.
"1 out of every 3 people in Gaza cannot find food. Babies, children, young people and women are martyred due to hunger, and they are disappearing like a star in front of our eyes. Atef Abu Khatir, only 17 years old, weighed 25 kilograms due to severe hunger and was martyred due to malnutrition. Ahmed Semir, who was only 2 years old, was also martyred due to starvation. The leaders of the world countries are incapable of sending a box of food to Ahmet Semir. The Ummah, the addressee of the hadith of our Prophet Muhammad Sallallahu Alaihi wa Sallam, 'It is not one of us who is full while his neighbor is hungry', is responsible for the hunger in Gaza." Tekdemir drew attention to the human tragedy in Gaza .
"The family of humanity!, the leaders of the Islamic countries!, if you do not share your tables with these oppressed people, the shame will be heavy and your reckoning will be very harsh. More than 60 thousand of our brothers and sisters were martyred in the Gaza genocide. The occupation regime is treacherously martyring babies in Gaza. What happened in Gaza has gone beyond numbers. The atrocities are making the heavens tremble. The humanitarian crisis in Gaza has reached an unimaginable level in the last month. Nearly 200 of our children and brothers and sisters in Gaza, 93 of them children, have been martyred due to hunger. Hunger is taking the lives of children in Gaza in front of the eyes of the world and the world is only watching." Tekdemir added the following statements.
”There is one last choice left, either to live in dignity and stand by the Gaza resistance until the last drop of our blood and start the peacekeeping movement, or to settle for slavery in humiliation and wait for the day when they will invade us too. The leaders of the Islamic countries! and the leaders of the international community!, take action for Gaza now. Leaders of the international community and states, humanity is dying in Gaza. If you have not lost your humanity, intervene immediately in this tragedy in Gaza. Do not remain silent against the genocide of hunger and take concrete steps." Tekdemir said and listed their expectations and demands as follows:
We will continue to defend the cause of Al-Quds with determination and resolve until the occupation regime is wiped off the map. Peace be upon the heroic people of Gaza, its leaders who embrace honor, and the mujahideen who resist the Israeli occupation. May Allah's peace, mercy and blessings be upon you." (ILKHA)
