Turkish FM Fidan meets South Korean counterpart Cho Hyun in Seoul
Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan continued his diplomatic engagements in South Korea, where he met with Republic of Korea Foreign Minister Cho Hyun in the capital, Seoul.
According to a statement from Türkiye’s Foreign Ministry, the meeting took place as part of Fidan’s official visit to South Korea. While no detailed readout of the talks was released, discussions are believed to have focused on bilateral relations as well as regional and international developments.
The meeting comes amid growing cooperation between Türkiye and South Korea across multiple sectors, including political dialogue, trade, defense industries, and cultural exchange.
Ankara and Seoul have maintained longstanding diplomatic ties, with both countries frequently emphasizing their historical partnership rooted in their cooperation during the Korean War era while seeking to expand collaboration in strategic sectors.
