The Turkish Foreign Ministry has issued a strong condemnation of the recent Israeli airstrike in Khan Younis, Gaza, which targeted a civilian area and resulted in significant casualties.
In a press release, the ministry denounced the Israeli attack on the tents of civilians in what has been described as a “humanitarian zone,” referring to the attack as a massacre. “We condemn Israel's massacre of dozens of Palestinians in an attack on the tents of civilians in the so-called 'humanitarian zone' in Khan Younis,” the statement read.
The Foreign Ministry characterized the actions of the Israeli government, led by Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, as genocidal and part of an ongoing list of war crimes. The statement further asserted, “The genocidal Netanyahu government has added a new crime to its list of war crimes. Those who commit these crimes will be held accountable before international law.”
The ministry reiterated Türkiye's steadfast support for the Palestinian people, affirming Ankara's commitment to their struggle for justice and freedom. The release underscored Türkiye's position on standing with Palestinians amid ongoing conflicts and human rights abuses. (ILKHA)
