The Turkish National Intelligence Organization (MIT) Director Ibrahim Kalin spoke on the phone with Hamas Political Bureau Chief Ismail Haniyeh to discuss ongoing ceasefire talks in Gaza.
The discussions centered on securing a permanent ceasefire, facilitating the exchange of hostages, and delivering humanitarian aid to the region.
During the call, Kalin extended his condolences to Haniyeh for the loss of his sister, who was killed in an Israeli attack, and expressed sympathy for the Palestinian people. He reiterated Türkiye's commitment to supporting the Palestinian cause.
