Türkiye calls for dialogue to end violence in southern Syria

The Turkish Foreign Ministry issued a statement on Wednesday addressing the escalating violence in southern Syria, advocating for dialogue and accountability to restore stability.
The ministry expressed confidence that the ongoing clashes can be resolved through negotiations between the Syrian government and local groups, emphasizing that those responsible for the violence must face justice.
Highlighting the critical juncture for Syria, the statement urged the international community, particularly regional nations, to support efforts for security, stability, and social reconciliation in the country. The ministry specifically called on Israel to cease its airstrikes, which it described as undermining Syria’s pursuit of unity and social cohesion.
Türkiye reaffirmed its commitment to fostering peace and reconciliation among all segments of Syrian society, pledging continued support for initiatives aimed at achieving lasting stability. (ILKHA)
