Türkiye captures 210 ISIS suspects in major nationwide operation

Turkish Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya announced that a sweeping security operation against the ISIS terrorist organization led to the detention of 210 suspects across 49 provinces over the past two weeks.
In a statement on X, Yerlikaya detailed that the operations were carried out in provinces including Adana, Ankara, Antalya, Bursa, Diyarbakır, Gaziantep, İstanbul, İzmir, and Şanlıurfa, among others. The efforts were led by the Chief Public Prosecutor's Offices, the National Intelligence Organization (MIT), the Turkish National Police’s Counter-Terrorism (TEM) and Intelligence Directorates, and Provincial Security Directorates.
"The operations were successful in dismantling networks with known financial structures linked to the DAESH terrorist organization," Yerlikaya said. "I congratulate our governors, prosecutors, the MIT, and our heroic police officers for their tireless efforts in ensuring our nation’s safety."
The minister emphasized the government’s continued resolve in rooting out terrorist threats across the country, reaffirming that Türkiye will not tolerate any group that endangers its national security. (ILKHA)
