Türkiye expresses condolences to Iran over deadly explosion at Shahid Rajaei Port

The Turkish Foreign Ministry issued a statement on Saturday expressing deep sorrow over the deadly explosion that struck Shahid Rajaei Port in Bandar Abbas, southern Iran.
"We are deeply saddened to learn that many people lost their lives and many others were injured in the explosion that occurred today (26 April) at the Shahid Rajaei Port of Bandar Abbas in Hormozgan province of Iran," the Ministry said.
Extending its solidarity with the Iranian people, the Turkish Foreign Ministry conveyed condolences to the families of those who lost their lives and wished a speedy recovery to the injured.
The blast at Shahid Rajaei Port resulted in extensive damage and casualties, with Iranian officials reporting hundreds injured and several fatalities. Investigations into the cause of the explosion are ongoing. (ILKHA)
