Seventy-nine Palestinians were injured on Sunday after the zionist police and Jewish settlers attacked Palestinians who confronted the settlers’ flag march in occupied Jerusalem.
According to the Palestinian Red Crescent Society, zionist police fired rubber-coated bullets and teargas bombs at Palestinians in several areas in Jerusalem, leaving 79 Palestinians injured.
In a related incident, the zionist occupation police arrested six Palestinian young men while they were in Al Rasheed Street in Jerusalem, bringing the number of Palestinians arrested on Sunday in Occupied Jerusalem to 30.
Meanwhile, a Palestinian flag march was launched in Salah al-Dein Street in occupied East Jerusalem in response to the provocative Jewish settlers’ flag march.
Earlier today, thousands of Jewish settlers’ stormed the old city of Jerusalem through its Bab al-Amud area to participate in the flag march, chanting racist slogans against Palestinians.
Furthermore, zionist police intensified their presence in Bab al-Amud, As-Sahera Gate, and Al-Masara neighborhood, blocking the areas with metal bars to facilitate the Jewish settlers’ raids.
In a later incident, zionist settlers stormed the Sheikh Jarrah neighborhood in Jerusalem attacking Palestinians’ homes and property. (ILKHA)
