At least 10 Palestinian citizens were brutally killed, and four others were critically injured on Wednesday night in the town of Tamun, southeast of Tubas.
The attack was carried out by an Israeli drone, targeting a group of local resistance fighters from the Tamun Brigade, according to medical sources.
The martyrs have been named as Omar Bisharat (28), Abdullah Bani Awda (22), Mohammed Bani Awda (36), Ibrahim Bani Awda (33), Osama Bani Awda (19), Muntaser Bani Matar (25), Abdul-Rahman Khatib (20), Saleh Bani Matar (19), Suleiman Bisharat (22), and Jihad Bani Matar (18). Omar Bisharat, a brave leader, was the commander of the brigade.
This deadly strike comes amidst a relentless series of Israeli military incursions into the occupied West Bank, further intensifying since the onset of the assault on Gaza. These operations not only target Palestinian fighters but also endanger the lives of civilians, increasing the cycle of violence. Additionally, the Palestinian Authority (PA), which is supposed to protect its people, has been complicit in the oppression by engaging in actions against the very groups defending Palestinian rights. Last Tuesday, PA forces reportedly harmed and arrested a member of the Tamun Brigade.
The surge in Israeli military actions, including frequent raids and targeted assassinations, has dramatically escalated tensions, leading to an alarming rise in Palestinian casualties. This incident is yet another grim reminder of the ongoing struggle for freedom, justice, and the right to live without fear in one's own homeland. The international community must recognize the urgent need for intervention to stop these violations of human rights and support the Palestinian quest for sovereignty and peace. (ILKHA)
