22 killed, dozens, injured as Israeli strikes hit tents, aid lines in Gaza

At least 22 Palestinians were killed and dozens more injured on Thursday as Israeli airstrikes struck locations housing displaced civilians and individuals waiting for humanitarian aid across the Gaza Strip, according to medical and local sources.
In one of the deadliest incidents of the day, Israeli forces targeted a tent sheltering displaced families in the al-Shati (Beach) refugee camp, west of Gaza City. The strike claimed the lives of 12 people, including three children, and left many others wounded.
Further south, in Khan Younis, Israeli aircraft bombed al-Tina Street, where civilians had gathered in anticipation of aid distribution. Six people were killed in the strike, adding to the mounting civilian toll.
Meanwhile, near Al-Quds Hospital in the Tel al-Hawa neighborhood of southwestern Gaza City, Israeli forces struck tents housing displaced individuals, killing four people and injuring several more. The Palestinian Red Crescent Society confirmed casualties from this and another nearby attack, stating that the targeted tents were providing shelter to those forced to flee earlier bombardments.
Israeli forces also conducted a drone strike on al-Nasr Street in Gaza City and carried out artillery shelling in Jabalia town, located in the northern part of the territory.
These latest assaults bring the total death toll in Gaza to 55,706, with 130,101 reported injuries, since Israel launched its military offensive on October 7, 2023. Rescue operations remain underway amid extensive destruction, as emergency teams continue to recover bodies and search for survivors beneath the rubble. (ILKHA)
