47 killed, 226 wounded in Gaza in just 24 hours

The Palestinian Ministry of Health in Gaza reported on Sunday the martyrdom of 49 more Palestinians in the last 24 hours in the assaults by the Zionist Israeli regime. Meanwhile the attacks wounded 226 others.
Medical sources in the Gaza Strip reported on Sunday that the death toll from Israel’s ongoing aggression has risen to 61,944 martyrs, the vast majority of them women and children, since the occupation launched its genocidal assault on October 7, 2023.
The same sources confirmed that the number of those injured has now reached 155,886, while countless victims remain trapped under the rubble of destroyed homes and buildings, unreachable by ambulance and civil defense crews due to the relentless bombardment and blockade.
In just the past 24 hours, 47 Palestinians were killed, including nine whose bodies were recovered from beneath the ruins, and 226 others were rushed to Gaza hospitals with injuries.
Since March 18, when the Israeli occupation violated the ceasefire agreement, the aggression has killed 10,400 Palestinians and wounded another 43,845.
A particularly grim aspect of the tragedy has been the repeated targeting of aid distribution sites. Medical sources revealed that within the past 24 hours alone, 14 aid-seekers were killed and 132 others injured while attempting to obtain desperately needed food and humanitarian assistance. This brings the total number of Palestinians slain while seeking aid to 1,938, with at least 14,420 more injured since the start of the aggression.
The blockade-induced famine continues to tighten its grip on the besieged enclave. Hospitals reported seven new deaths from starvation and malnutrition in the last 24 hours, including two children, raising the total number of Palestinians killed by hunger to 258, among them 110 children.
Health officials and humanitarian groups warn that the Gaza Strip is facing a catastrophe of historic proportions, as Israel’s policies of siege, bombing, and deliberate deprivation of food and medicine have turned the territory into a graveyard for children and families.
Despite international appeals, Israel continues to block adequate humanitarian access, leaving the population of Gaza with dwindling hope for relief. (ILKHA)
