The 60th annual Islamic Society of North America Convention is being held over Labor Day weekend at the Donald E. Stephens Convention Center in Rosemont, Illinois.

ISNA, the largest and oldest national Muslim umbrella organization, hosts this event, which is renowned as the largest gathering of Muslims in North America.

In just two weeks, Rosemont is expected to welcome over 20,000 Muslims from across North America and around the world for a four-day Islamic convention, making it one of the most significant gatherings of Muslims in the region. The ISNA Convention will run from September 1st to September 4th at the Donald E. Stephens Convention Center, located at 5555 N. River Road.

For six decades, ISNA conventions have provided a vital platform for prominent Muslim leaders, government officials, community activists, celebrities, interfaith community partners, and heads of state to engage in dialogue and collaboration.

Founded in 1963, ISNA's core mission is to foster the development of the Muslim community, promote interfaith relations, encourage civic engagement, and enhance understanding of Islam and American Muslims. Ashfaq Syed of Naperville, ISNA steering committee secretary and president of the Naperville Public Library Board, commented on the convention's theme, stating, "With the theme '60 Years of Service: Navigating the Way Forward,' we believe it is a beautiful and timely expression of the strides we have made and how far we have come as an organization."

The annual convention continues to serve as a dynamic forum for Muslims and individuals from diverse backgrounds to learn from one another, establish connections, and deepen their appreciation of Islam. It also showcases the ongoing efforts and achievements of Muslims in the United States and worldwide, Syed added. (ILKHA)
