Deputy Head of Hamas's Political Bureau, Moussa Abu Marzouk, who led the Movement's delegation to Moscow, described the visit as fruitful.
“The visit aims to deepen the bilateral talks and coordination with our Russian friends. We discussed the israeli attacks in Jerusalem, their dangerous outcomes, and the violations in the West Bank and Gaza,” he said on Friday.
The discussions also tackled regional and international issues and agreed on rejecting the US unilateralism in international affairs, Abu Marzouk elaborated.
On Tuesday, a senior delegation from Hamas Movement arrived in Moscow at the invitation of Russia’s Foreign Ministry to hold “important” talks with Russian officials.
Abu Marzouk led the delegation, which included Hamas leaders Fathi Hammad and Hussam Badran, as well as the Movement’s representative in Moscow.
The Russian deputy foreign minister, Mikhail Bogdanov, revealed new details on Thursday about the visit of a high-ranking Hamas delegation to Moscow.
Bogdanov said that he reviewed with the Hamas delegates the latest developments on the Palestinian issue, including the Israeli raids on the Al-Aqsa Mosque.
“We are looking forward to meeting delegations from the Fatah Movement and Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO) in Moscow,” Bogdanov underlined, suggesting that Moscow would be ready to host meetings for Palestinians. (ILKHA)
