Afghan ambassador Haqqani meets EU special representative to deepen ties
The Ambassador of Afghanistan to the United Arab Emirates, Mawlavi Badruddin Haqqani, held a meeting with Gilles Bertrand, the European Union Special Representative for Afghanistan, to discuss ways to enhance cooperation across political, economic, and regional fronts.
During the meeting, both officials emphasized the importance of expanding mutual collaboration and fostering constructive engagement between Afghanistan and the European Union. They also discussed strategies to promote regional stability, underscoring the shared interest in maintaining peace and development across South and Central Asia.
Ambassador Haqqani highlighted Afghanistan’s commitment to building strong diplomatic and economic ties with international partners, while Bertrand reiterated the EU’s continued support for dialogue, regional cooperation, and humanitarian engagement with Afghanistan.
