Afghan Deputy Minister visits Kazan Universities to strengthen academic ties

Afghanistan’s Deputy Minister of Higher Education, Sheikh Zia-ur-Rahman Al-Aryubi, visited Kazan National Research and Technical University and Kazan Federal University during the 3rd World Forum of Ministers of Higher Education and Education in Kazan, Republic of Tatarstan.
The visit marked a significant step toward fostering academic and scientific collaboration between Afghan and Russian institutions.
University leaders and Afghan officials laid the foundation for new cooperation agreements, focusing on key areas of academic development. These include professor exchanges to facilitate knowledge transfer, collaborative curriculum development to meet modern educational standards, and joint research initiatives to advance scientific studies and publications.
Officials from both sides emphasized their commitment to supporting Afghanistan’s higher education sector through these partnerships, which aim to promote innovation, capacity-building, and international academic standards. The agreements are expected to enhance bilateral educational ties between Tatarstan and Afghanistan, fostering mutual academic growth and intercultural understanding.
