Acting Foreign Minister Mawlavi Amir Khan Muttaqi met with Qatar's Minister of International Assistance Lolwah Al-Khater on Tuesday to discuss bilateral relations and Qatar's assistance to Afghanistan.
The meeting took place in Doha, Qatar, and was also attended by Afghanistan's ambassador to Qatar, Dr. Mohammad Naeem Wardak.
During the meeting, Mr. Muttaqi thanked Qatar for hosting crucial summits on Afghanistan and for their genuine interest in fostering friendly relations with the Afghan people.
He also provided detailed information about Afghanistan's current situation and requested assistance from the Qatari government in several areas.
Mrs. Al-Khater expressed her country's admiration for their relations with Afghanistan and highlighted Qatar's commitment to expanding these ties.
She also mentioned Qatar Charity Organization's ongoing work in various sectors to support Afghans, including health, education, agriculture, physical training, and more.
Dr. Wardak raised several issues related to the embassy during the meeting, and Mrs. Al-Khater assured him of cooperation in addressing these matters.
