Afghanistan: UAE, Qatar, India, and Pakistan send aid to Kunar earthquake survivors

Humanitarian aid for families affected by the recent earthquake in Kunar province continues to arrive at the central collection point, with contributions pouring in from both international donors and various sectors across Afghanistan.
Mawlawi Abdul Malik Mohsin, head of the food assistance committee, said several committees have been established to manage the collection and distribution process. He assured residents that transparency would be upheld throughout the aid operation.
Mohsin urged wealthy individuals and charitable organizations to step up their contributions, stressing that the scale of the destruction and the needs of survivors remain vast.
Mawlawi Mohammad Sarwar Sadiq, head of the logistics committee, reported that donations have already come from multiple Afghan provinces, as well as from charity foundations, traders, and foreign supporters. Contributions have so far arrived from the United Arab Emirates, Qatar, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and India. He emphasized that all supplies would be delivered directly to those in need.
The relief effort comes in the wake of devastating earthquakes that struck Kunar province, leaving widespread damage and severe hardship for local communities. Authorities say the coordinated system of aid collection and delivery is vital to ensure that assistance reaches affected families quickly and fairly. (ILKHA)
