An explosion destroyed late Friday a hotel in Havana, Cuba, killing at least 22 people and injuring more than 64 others.
According to the Cuban presidency, a gas leak is thought to be the cause of the explosion at the hotel Saratoga.
“It was not a bomb or an attack, it is a regrettable accident,” Cuban President Miguel Diaz-Canel said after visiting the site of the blast and a local hospital
According to preliminary data, a child and a pregnant woman were among those who died, the presidency said.
It also said that 64 people have been hospitalized for injuries, including 14 minors. (ILKHA)
