Death toll in Gaza rises to 66,005 as Israeli aggression intensifies

The Ministry of Health in Gaza announced on Sunday that 79 Palestinians, including two recovered from beneath the rubble of bombed homes, were martyred in the past 24 hours due to the relentless Israeli onslaught.
This latest wave of massacres raises the cumulative death toll to 66,005 martyrs and 168,162 wounded since the beginning of the genocidal war launched by the occupation on October 7. Since the resumption of large-scale Israeli attacks on March 18 alone, 13,137 Palestinians have been killed and 56,121 injured, underscoring the ferocity of the renewed campaign.
The Ministry further reported that in the last 24 hours, hospitals received 6 martyrs and 66 wounded as a direct result of Israeli attacks targeting aid distribution points. This brought the total number of Palestinians killed while struggling to obtain food, flour, and basic survival needs to 2,566 martyrs and over 18,769 wounded since the start of the genocide. Aid convoys and food lines continue to be systematically targeted by occupation forces, deepening famine conditions in Gaza.
Local sources confirmed that on Sunday morning, the Israeli army shelled a residential home near the Dawood Mosque in Nuseirat camp, central Gaza, leaving several civilians wounded. Over the past 24 hours, more than 110 Palestinians were martyred, particularly as Israeli forces intensified bombardments on central and southern neighborhoods of Gaza City.
In southern Gaza, Rafah’s Al-Saudi neighborhood was also struck by occupation airstrikes, spreading terror among already displaced families living in makeshift shelters. Witnesses described entire blocks reduced to rubble amid the deafening roar of warplanes.
Meanwhile, humanitarian organizations attempting to deliver aid in Gaza City have been forced to suspend or evacuate their operations under direct Israeli fire. This further isolates hundreds of thousands of civilians, many of them women and children, who remain trapped without access to food, clean water, or medical assistance.
The Ministry of Health warned that the continuation of Israeli massacres, the targeting of aid lines, and the destruction of civilian neighborhoods constitute clear war crimes and crimes against humanity. Despite mounting global calls for a ceasefire and accountability, the occupation has only deepened its aggression, plunging Gaza into further catastrophe. (ILKHA)
