Gaza death toll rises as Israeli attacks kill 125 civilians in 24 hours

The Gaza Health Ministry announced that 125 more civilians were martyred in the last 24 hours as a result of fresh Israeli air and ground attacks across the besieged Gaza Strip.
In addition to the newly killed, the bodies of 11 people who had been reported missing in earlier strikes were also recovered and brought to hospitals. The Ministry further reported that at least 364 others were injured in the latest assaults, many of them critically.
According to official figures, since Israel resumed its brutal military campaign on March 18, 2025, a total of 3,340 Palestinians have been killed and 9,357 wounded in Gaza.
The cumulative toll of Israel’s genocidal war on the enclave, which began on October 7, 2023, now stands at a staggering 53,486 martyrs and 121,398 wounded, marking one of the deadliest chapters in the history of the Palestinian people.
Ministry officials stressed that many of the wounded are women and children, and that overcrowded hospitals are struggling to cope with the influx due to the collapse of the healthcare system under siege and bombardment. Rescue efforts continue in various areas of the Strip as teams work to locate and retrieve more victims still trapped under the rubble.
Meanwhile, human rights groups and international aid agencies are renewing calls for an immediate ceasefire and unimpeded humanitarian access to prevent further loss of life in the devastated enclave.
The Palestinian Ministry of Health reiterated its appeal to the global community to intervene and stop what it described as an ongoing genocide perpetrated by the Israeli occupation forces.
Despite mounting global condemnation, Israel’s assault on Gaza shows no sign of abating. (ILKHA)
