Gaza death toll surges to 51,266 amid ongoing Israeli genocide

At least 26 Palestinians were martyred and 60 others wounded in the past 24 hours as Israel's relentless military campaign on the besieged Gaza Strip continues into its seventh month, according to medical sources in the enclave.
Local health authorities report that the total number of Palestinians killed since the start of the Israeli aggression in October 2023 has now reached a staggering 51,266, with 116,991 others injured—predominantly women and children. The figures are expected to rise further as many remain trapped under debris, and emergency teams are increasingly unable to operate under continuous bombardment.
Since Israel resumed its genocidal assault on March 18, following a brief two-month truce, 1,783 Palestinians have been killed and 4,683 others injured, health authorities confirmed.
Field medics and civil defense teams have repeatedly come under direct fire, further hampering rescue and recovery efforts. Dozens of victims remain unreachable beneath the rubble of homes, markets, and mosques destroyed in recent airstrikes.
Humanitarian agencies have condemned the attacks, stressing that the siege has devastated the health sector and left the population without access to clean water, electricity, or sufficient medical supplies.
Despite urgent calls from the United Nations Security Council for an immediate ceasefire, and binding measures issued by the International Court of Justice (ICJ) demanding that Israel take action to prevent genocide and ease the catastrophic humanitarian situation, Israeli occupation forces have escalated their operations across the Strip.
Observers and rights groups warn that the continued disregard for international law signals a grave precedent, underscoring the urgency of international action to protect civilians and hold perpetrators of war crimes accountable.
