As the Israeli military offensive on the Gaza Strip entered its 246th day, 11 Palestinians were killed and scores injured since the early hours of Saturday, according to local sources.
Palestinian Civil Defence (PCD) crews recovered five bodies, including children and women, from the rubble of the Mhanna family home in the Sheikh Radwan neighborhood of Gaza City. The house was targeted in an Israeli airstrike, resulting in 14 casualties.
Israeli artillery bombarded the Gaza City neighborhoods of Sabra and Zaytoun, as well as the vicinity of the new camp north of Nuseirat in the central Strip. Additionally, a house in the al-Bureij refugee camp was struck, killing six Palestinians and injuring others. Artillery and machine gun fire also targeted the area east of the camp.
In Rafah city, Israeli bombardment hit various areas, particularly the Hashash neighborhood in the north of the city.
Since October 7, Israeli attacks have killed at least 36,731 Palestinians and injured over 83,530 others. Approximately 10,000 people are unaccounted for, presumed dead under the rubble of their homes.
The ongoing conflict has forced nearly two million people from across the Gaza Strip to flee, with most of the displaced population converging in the densely crowded southern city of Rafah near the Egyptian border. This displacement marks the largest mass exodus of Palestinians since the 1948 Nakba.
Palestinian and international organizations report that the majority of casualties are women and children.
The Israeli government has faced international condemnation and calls for accountability, with ongoing legal actions at the International Court of Justice for the ongoing genocide against Palestinians. (ILKHA)
