Hamas official: Gaza’s martyrs inspire unbreakable Palestinian spirit

Suhail Ahmed Hassan Alhandi, a senior Hamas official, addressed a large crowd during the “Gaza Support Rally” organized by the Prophet's Lovers Foundation in the Siverek district of Şanlıurfa.
Alhandi opened by honoring the martyrs who have given their lives for the Palestinian cause, highlighting the profound connection between the Palestinian struggle and the solidarity of the people of Türkiye.
“Greetings to the martyrs of Urfa, Diyarbakir, and all those who have sacrificed their lives in the defense of Jerusalem and Palestine,” he said. “This land—Siverek and Urfa—is a place of honor, dignity, and unwavering support for Gaza. Here, the spirit of resistance is alive and strong.”
He vividly described the catastrophic human tragedy unfolding in Gaza, where the Israeli military’s brutal bombardment has left a trail of death and devastation. “More than 60,000 Palestinians have been martyred, and 130,000 wounded,” Alhandi revealed.
“Thousands of our brothers and sisters have had their limbs severed by Israeli bombs. Mosques, universities, and hospitals—centers of life and hope—have been reduced to rubble. Yet despite this relentless aggression, Gaza stands strong and resolute in its resistance.”
Alhandi’s words painted a harrowing picture of life under siege, where even basic necessities like food and medicine are scarce. “Children are starving; women and the elderly are dying of hunger,” he said, condemning the Israeli siege that has deliberately cut off vital aid.
“On Sunday alone, over fifty Palestinians seeking humanitarian aid near Rafah were mercilessly martyred by Israeli forces. This is not an accident; it is a calculated campaign of starvation and terror against a defenseless population.”
The Hamas official also praised the heroic efforts of the mujahideen of the Kassam Brigades, the armed wing of Hamas, who have stood as a symbol of Palestinian resilience and defiance. “Gaza is the birthplace of brave fighters like Ismail Haniyeh, Yahya Sinwar, and Mohammed Tayfun,” he stated proudly. “
These mujahideen have crafted their own weapons and rockets, standing firm against the Israeli military machine. Nearly a hundred Israeli commanders have been killed by their hands, avenging the wounds inflicted on our people and the insults to our Prophet.”
He recalled the legacy of Hamas’s revered leaders, emphasizing that their sacrifice fuels the ongoing struggle. “From Sheikh Ahmad Yassin to Abdul Aziz Rantisi, from Ismail Haniyeh to Yahya Sinwar, all have been martyred but their mission lives on,” Alhandi declared.
“No matter the hardships, we will not raise the white flag. The Zionist occupiers and their supporters in the world want us to surrender and abandon our land—but we will never bow. Our blood and sacrifice sanctify this land, and we will defend it to the last breath.”
Alhandi’s speech culminated in a heartfelt call to the crowd to deepen their commitment to the Palestinian cause. Quoting the Quranic command to “fight in the way of Allah with your wealth and your lives,” he urged those present to prepare for continued jihad in defense of Gaza’s children, women, and elderly.
“Are you ready to stand with Gaza? Are you ready to support this sacred struggle with your hearts and your resources?” he asked passionately. “Inshallah, we will meet soon in a liberated Al-Aqsa Mosque, free from occupation.”
The rally, attended by hundreds of supporters, ended with fervent prayers for Gaza’s liberation and a charity bazaar aimed at providing aid to the besieged people of Gaza. The crowd responded with thunderous applause and cries of “Allahu Akbar,” affirming their unwavering solidarity with Palestine.
This event in Şanlıurfa reflects the deep and enduring bond between the Palestinian people and their supporters in Turkey, underscoring the widespread condemnation of Israel’s ongoing war crimes and the determination to continue resisting occupation and oppression until justice is achieved. (ILKHA)
