Genocide continues: Israeli airstrikes slaughter 13 Palestinian civilians in Gaza

The Israeli occupation forces escalated their brutal aggression on the Gaza Strip at dawn on Tuesday, launching a series of devastating airstrikes that targeted civilian homes and shelters for displaced Palestinians.
The attacks claimed the lives of 13 Palestinians, including children and women, and left dozens more injured, further deepening the humanitarian catastrophe in the besieged enclave.
In a horrific attack, Al-Shifa Hospital reported that four civilians, including a defenseless infant, were killed when Israeli warplanes bombed a residential home near Carrefour Mall in the Tal al-Hawa neighborhood, southwest of Gaza City. The strike obliterated the house, leaving no chance for the victims to escape. In the al-Tuffah neighborhood, east of Gaza City, the Baptist Hospital confirmed the deaths of two civilians and multiple injuries after Israeli forces targeted the home of Khader al-Jamasi near the al-Ibki Mosque. The relentless bombardment has left families shattered and communities in mourning.
Further south, in the Bureij camp, Israeli airstrikes directly hit the Abu Helu al-Sharqiya School, a shelter for displaced families, sparking widespread panic among vulnerable civilians. Al-Awda Hospital in Nuseirat camp reported multiple injuries from the attack, as displaced Palestinians, already uprooted from their homes, faced yet another assault on their safety.
In Deir al-Balah, Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital received the body of Sharifa Maher Karim, a woman killed in an Israeli airstrike that targeted a room on the rooftop of the Abu Amra family home. Several others were injured in the attack, which further illustrates the indiscriminate nature of Israel’s military campaign.
In Khan Yunis, an Israeli drone strike near Site 17 on the Khan Yunis-Western Rafah road killed two Palestinians, identified as Ibrahim Imran al-Bayoumi and Antar Amer al-Bayoumi, adding to the growing death toll. In another massacre in the Al-Mawasi area west of Khan Yunis, four members of a single family were killed when Israeli forces bombed a tent housing displaced persons, leaving others wounded and traumatized.
Since October 7, 2023, Israel’s genocidal war on Gaza has resulted in over 194,000 Palestinian deaths and injuries, with the majority being women and children. More than 10,000 people remain missing, presumed buried under the rubble of their homes. The relentless Israeli assault has displaced hundreds of thousands, while famine—exacerbated by Israel’s blockade—has claimed countless lives, including those of innocent children.
The Palestinian people continue to endure unimaginable suffering under Israel’s occupation and relentless military aggression, as the international community remains largely silent. Calls for an immediate ceasefire and accountability for Israel’s war crimes grow louder, as Gaza’s resilient population fights to survive amidst the destruction. (ILKHA)
