Genocide in Gaza: Israeli forces intensify attacks on al-Zaytoun and al-Sabra

The Israeli occupation army has unleashed another brutal wave of attacks across the Gaza Strip in recent hours, leaving dozens of Palestinians martyred and wounded, while intensifying its systematic destruction of homes through the deployment of explosive-laden robots in the neighborhoods of al-Zaytoun and al-Sabra.
Medical sources confirmed that airstrikes targeted displaced families’ tents near the al-Maqousi Towers in northern Gaza City, causing multiple deaths and injuries. In a separate crime, two Palestinians were killed when occupation warplanes struck the home of the Dabbour family in the Sheikh Radwan neighborhood, northwest of Gaza City.
The al-Zaytoun and al-Sabra neighborhoods were subjected to heavy bombardment and the detonation of at least four explosive robots against civilian homes. Residents and observers described this as a deliberate tactic to terrorize families into abandoning their homes and fleeing further south.
In central Gaza, one man was killed in an airstrike on the al-Baraka area of Deir al-Balah, while two Palestinians lost their lives and several others were injured as they waited desperately for humanitarian aid near northern Rafah.
Israeli occupation forces also opened fire on displaced people’s tents in the Asda area of al-Mawasi, Khan Younis, seriously injuring one Palestinian and spreading fear among thousands sheltering in the area.
Meanwhile, civil defense teams continue to struggle in recovering victims from beneath the rubble of destroyed homes, particularly near the Wadi Gaza bridge, where aid seekers were targeted on Saturday.
According to Palestinian medical authorities, more than 80 Palestinians were killed yesterday alone, including 45 in Gaza City, in what witnesses described as one of the bloodiest days in recent weeks.
Since the start of Israel’s genocidal assault on Gaza in October 2023, at least 63,371 Palestinians have been documented killed and more than 159,835 injured. Thousands more remain missing under the rubble, as rescue efforts are repeatedly obstructed by continuous Israeli strikes.
The use of explosive robots against civilian homes marks yet another escalation in the occupation’s tactics of mass killing, collective punishment, and forced displacement. Human rights groups have warned that Israel’s actions constitute war crimes and crimes against humanity, yet international silence persists.
Despite catastrophic destruction and unimaginable human suffering, the people of Gaza continue to endure with steadfastness (sumud), refusing to abandon their homeland in the face of relentless ethnic cleansing. (ILKHA)
