Hamas condemns settler violence in Deir Dibwan as part of Israeli Judaization campaign

The Hamas Movement strongly condemned the violent settler assault on the town of Deir Dibwan, east of Ramallah, carried out Wednesday evening by armed Jewish settlers.
The movement described the attack as part of a broader policy of Judaization and ethnic cleansing promoted by the far-right Israeli occupation government.
In a press statement, Hamas warned that the escalating settler violence—carried out by what it described as “terrorist militias”—is not isolated, but rather reflects a systematic campaign aimed at forcibly displacing Palestinians from their land and homes.
Hamas pointed out that these attacks, which frequently target homes, farms, and civilian infrastructure, occur alongside the rapid expansion of illegal Israeli settlements across the occupied West Bank and Jerusalem. According to the movement, such acts are elements of a "silent annexation" strategy that seeks to erase the Palestinian presence on their ancestral land.
“This criminal aggression only fuels the determination of our people to remain steadfast, to resist, and to defend their land at all costs,” Hamas said. “These crimes will not deter the Palestinian people; rather, they deepen our commitment to resist occupation and colonization in all its forms.”
The Movement called on all Palestinians—individuals, resistance factions, and popular movements—to unite in confronting the settler attacks. It urged them to activate all forms of resistance to defend their towns and villages from Zionist violence.
Hamas also criticized the Palestinian Authority for its inaction, calling on it and its security forces to shoulder their national responsibilities and protect the people of Palestine from escalating settler aggression.
The call for unity and resistance came after 35 Palestinian civilians were injured in the recent attack on Deir Dibwan. Settlers reportedly raided the village under the protection of the Israeli military, vandalizing property, setting fire to crops, and assaulting residents. The violent rampage caused widespread damage to agricultural lands and civilian infrastructure.
The village has endured repeated settler attacks in recent days, sparking growing fears of a larger campaign of ethnic cleansing under the guise of expanding settlements.
As international silence persists, Palestinians continue to face daily violence in the occupied West Bank. Human rights groups have repeatedly warned that settler attacks, often coordinated with Israeli forces, amount to war crimes and are part of a broader campaign to displace Palestinians in violation of international law.
