Hamas declares total collapse of Israeli war objectives in Gaza

After 640 days of relentless Israeli aggression, the Islamic Resistance Movement, Hamas, issued a statement on Tuesday, asserting that the Israeli occupation has categorically failed to achieve its stated objectives, whether militarily, politically, or psychologically.
In its statement, Hamas declared that the slogans of “total defeat” and “complete eradication”—once touted by Israeli leadership—have collapsed in the face of Gaza’s defiant Resistance, which continues to carry out ambushes and defend its people through a complex and resilient tunnel network, despite overwhelming siege conditions.
'The Illusion of Captive Retrieval by Force Has Collapsed'
Hamas underscored that Israel’s claim of retrieving captives through military operations has proven to be a strategic illusion. Citing recent successful Resistance operations, the group reported the destruction of Israeli Gideon military vehicles with soldiers inside, emphasizing that fighters remain actively engaged on the frontlines—despite hunger, bombardment, and blockade.
“All Israeli invasion routes have turned into fields of death,” the statement read, adding that the occupation itself now publicly acknowledges its inability to free captives or suppress the Resistance.
Resistance Foils Forced Displacement Plans
The statement also addressed Israel’s longstanding goals of forced displacement and ethnic cleansing, asserting that those schemes have been resolutely thwarted by the unyielding steadfastness of the Palestinian people. Despite facing mass displacement, famine, and continuous bombardment, Palestinians have refused to yield to military pressure or foreign-imposed political dictates, the group said.
Hamas described the current phase of the conflict as a battle of awareness, will, and patience, adding that Israel’s propaganda has been exposed through its military failures and growing internal crises.
Ceasefire Talks Deadlocked as Israel Blocks Aid Entry
The statement comes amid renewed, yet faltering, ceasefire negotiations in Doha, where indirect talks between Israel and Hamas, mediated by Qatar and Egypt and backed by the United States, ended another session on Monday without progress.
A senior Palestinian official told AFP that no breakthrough was achieved, though talks are expected to continue. Israel’s continued obstruction of humanitarian aid into Gaza remains a major stumbling block in the negotiations, according to Palestinian sources.
“Hamas hopes to reach an agreement,” the source said, “but Israel's refusal to allow the free and safe entry of life-saving humanitarian supplies into Gaza is the core obstacle.”
The blockade has pushed Gaza’s humanitarian crisis to catastrophic levels, with famine, disease, and displacement reaching every corner of the besieged Strip.
A Turning Point in the Struggle
As Israel intensifies its genocidal war, which has killed and wounded over 194,000 Palestinians—most of them women and children—Hamas’ latest statement underscores a larger narrative taking shape: the occupation is failing, not only in military terms but in its attempt to break the spirit and identity of the Palestinian people.
What Israel once claimed would be a short and decisive military campaign has now become a protracted war of attrition, where Gaza’s Resistance fighters, despite immense suffering and sacrifice, continue to hold ground and defy one of the most heavily armed militaries in the world. (ILKHA)
