The Hamas Movement announced that indirect ceasefire talks regarding Gaza resumed on Friday in the Qatari capital, Doha.
Hamas emphasized its commitment to reaching an agreement to end Israeli aggression and protect Palestinians from genocide and ethnic cleansing.
In a statement, Hamas outlined that this round of talks would focus on negotiating a complete ceasefire, the withdrawal of Israeli forces from the Gaza Strip, and the safe and prompt return of displaced Palestinians to their homes. Hamas also urged the media to refrain from disseminating information and leaks from unknown sources.
Hamas highlighted its ongoing contacts with various parties to alleviate the suffering of Palestinians in Gaza, particularly during the current winter season, and to provide them with essential needs.
Hamas condemned the Israeli occupation army's ongoing attacks on Gaza's health system, including the destruction of hospitals, medical centers, and ambulances, as well as the killing of medical personnel. Hamas accused the US administration of providing political, diplomatic, and media support to the Israeli regime, enabling it to continue its war crimes.
The talks in Doha represent a renewed effort to address the humanitarian crisis and seek a peaceful resolution to the conflict in Gaza. (ILKHA)
