Hamas spokesperson urges wider resistance as Yemeni rockets strike Tel Aviv

Abu Obeida, the spokesperson for Hamas' al-Qassam Brigades, called on Thursday for the Muslim world to unite in defending Al-Aqsa Mosque and intensifying support for Gaza.
In a message on Telegram, Abu Obeida praised Yemen’s resistance forces for their unwavering solidarity, emphasizing their direct role in supporting the Palestinian people despite the heavy toll they face.
“Today, Yemen’s missiles have intersected with those of Gaza in the skies over Tel Aviv, reaffirming that Gaza is not alone and that behind it stand free men of the Ummah who will never surrender it to its arrogant enemies," he declared.
Rocket Strikes Disrupt Israeli Operations
On Thursday, al-Qassam Brigades launched a salvo of M90 Maqadma rockets toward Tel Aviv, stating that the attack was a response to Israel’s ongoing massacres of Palestinian civilians in Gaza. The Israeli military confirmed detecting at least three rockets targeting central occupied Palestine, triggering widespread sirens in Tel Aviv and surrounding areas.
Israeli media later reported that rocket shrapnel had fallen in Rishon LeZion, prompting security forces to respond. The attack also led to a temporary suspension of flight operations at Ben Gurion Airport, leaving aircraft circling as landings and takeoffs were halted.
Adding to the escalation, a ballistic missile strike from Yemen set off alarms across Tel Aviv and Al-Quds. The incident reportedly occurred at 4:01 a.m., while Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu was at the Knesset. Israeli Channel 14 reported that Netanyahu was rushed to a bomb shelter as panic gripped Israeli settlers, leading to at least 13 injuries from stampedes.
Yemen’s Resistance Targets Israeli and U.S. Forces
Later, Yemeni Armed Forces (YAF) spokesperson Brigadier General Yahya Saree confirmed that Yemen’s Rocket Force had launched a Palestine-2 hypersonic missile at Ben Gurion Airport, declaring it a response to Israel’s continued massacres of Palestinians. He further announced coordinated attacks on the U.S. aircraft carrier USS Harry S. Truman and other American targets in the Red Sea.
This marks Yemen’s second strike since the renewal of Israeli aggression in Gaza, coinciding with fresh U.S.-led airstrikes against Yemen.
Israel Renews Deadly Assault on Gaza
Despite previous ceasefire agreements, Israeli forces renewed their brutal military campaign on Gaza early Tuesday, with at least 504 Palestinians killed, including over 190 children, according to Gaza’s civil defense agency.
On Wednesday, Israel launched new ground operations, issuing what it called a “last warning” for Gaza residents to surrender captives and overthrow Hamas leadership. Reports indicate that the Israeli occupation has reestablished control over the Netzarim axis, effectively severing northern Gaza from central and southern regions, further tightening its siege.
As Gaza continues to face relentless attacks, resistance movements across the region have intensified their actions, signaling growing regional solidarity against Israel’s ongoing aggression. (ILKHA)
