Hezbollah announced a fresh wave of operations against Israeli military positions on Thursday, as tensions continue to escalate along the Lebanon-Israel border.
The group reported that its fighters repelled multiple attempts by Israeli occupation forces to advance into southern Lebanese towns and villages.
In a coordinated response, Hezbollah’s forces launched a series of rocket and artillery attacks aimed at concentrations of Israeli troops across southern Lebanon. These strikes also extended to Israeli settlements in northern occupied territories, following evacuation orders issued to settlers in these areas.
In addition to the artillery barrage, Hezbollah conducted aerial attacks, deploying one-way drones targeting Israeli settlements in Yir’on and Ein Yaakov, as well as the Eliakim base located south of Haifa.
Hezbollah also reported the downing of an Israeli Hermes 450 reconnaissance drone in Lebanese airspace, marking a significant escalation in aerial hostilities.
In a statement, the Islamic Resistance in Lebanon asserted that the ongoing operations are a show of support for Palestinians in Gaza and the broader Palestinian resistance, while also underscoring Hezbollah's commitment to defending Lebanon and its people.
This latest development reflects heightened military activities in the region, with both sides reinforcing their respective military positions and intensifying cross-border engagements. (ILKHA)
