International aid groups deliver sacrificial meat to war-affected families in Yemen

International Islamic aid organizations brought festive joy to hundreds of families this Eid al-Adha through sacrificial meat distributions, offering hope in a nation battered by war and foreign intervention.
A coalition of four charities—Hope Caravan Foundation, Orphans Foundation, European Orphan Hand Association, and IHO EBRAR—coordinated the slaughtering and distribution of meat across war-affected regions. The initiative, supported by philanthropists, targeted orphaned children and low-income households struggling under the weight of Yemen’s protracted crisis.
Volunteers began operations immediately after Eid prayers, efficiently distributing meat with the help of local and international teams. “We carried out the slaughtering and delivered meat to orphans and needy families,” a volunteer said, emphasizing the emotional support provided alongside food aid.
Recipients expressed profound gratitude, with many families, unable to afford meat otherwise, offering prayers for the donors. Children’s smiles lit up communities, highlighting the campaign’s impact on Yemen’s most vulnerable.
Dubbed a “forgotten crisis,” Yemen’s resilience shines through its people’s enduring spirit, akin to Gaza’s steadfastness. The campaign not only met urgent needs but also strengthened Islamic solidarity, showcasing unity and compassion across borders.
The success of this Eid initiative underscores the power of collective action in alleviating suffering in Yemen, a nation that continues to face neglect on the global stage. (ILKHA)
