Iran announces 18th wave of “True Promise 4” in response to U.S.-Israeli aggression
The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) announced on Wednesday the launch of the 18th wave of its military campaign dubbed “True Promise 4,” describing the move as a response to U.S.-Israeli aggression against Iran.
In a brief statement carried by Tasnim News Agency, the IRGC declared: “The 18th wave of Operation True Promise 4 has begun, carrying the code name ‘O Hassan ibn Ali (peace be upon him).’” The announcement did not provide operational details regarding specific targets or locations.
According to Iranian sources, the escalation follows a new offensive launched last Saturday morning by United States and Israel against Iranian territory. The strikes reportedly resulted in significant civilian casualties and damage to infrastructure, though independent verification of the figures has not been publicly confirmed.
In response, Iranian authorities initiated Operation “True Promise 4,” targeting what they described as Israeli positions and U.S. military bases across the region. Officials have framed the operation as a defensive measure aimed at deterring further attacks and asserting Iran’s right to respond under international law.
The latest wave marks a continued escalation in hostilities, raising concerns about broader regional instability and the potential for further military exchanges between the involved parties. (ILKHA)
