Iran, Pakistan call for immediate action to end Israeli genocide in Gaza

Iranian Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Araghchi met with his Pakistani counterpart Muhammad Ishaq Dar on the sidelines of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) foreign ministerial meeting in Jeddah.
During the meeting, the two diplomats focused on the critical situation in Gaza and the ongoing crimes committed by the Israeli regime against the Palestinian people. Both emphasized the urgent need for collective and coordinated action by Islamic countries to halt Israel’s aggression, lift the blockade on Gaza, expedite the delivery of humanitarian aid, and counter the expansionist schemes of the Israeli regime.
Araghchi also updated his Pakistani counterpart on the latest developments regarding Iran’s nuclear program, underscoring the Islamic Republic’s transparent, peaceful, and responsible approach. Ishaq Dar, who serves as Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister, praised Iran’s principled stance on the nuclear issue and reiterated the importance of diplomacy in resolving it peacefully.
The meeting also highlighted the deep historical, religious, and cultural ties between Tehran and Islamabad. Both ministers stressed the need to further expand bilateral cooperation across trade, border development, economic initiatives, and regional security.
The discussions underscore the continued commitment of Iran and Pakistan to regional stability, humanitarian support for Palestine, and strengthening Islamic solidarity amid ongoing geopolitical challenges. (ILKHA)
