Iranian foreign minister meets Hamas delegation in Doha

Iran’s Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi, during a high-level meeting with the leadership of the Hamas movement in Doha, reiterated the unwavering stance of the Islamic Republic of Iran in supporting the Palestinian people’s resistance against Israeli occupation and aggression.
The meeting brought together Abbas Araghchi, who is on an official trip to Doha, with Khalil al-Hayya, member of Hamas’s political bureau and head of the movement in the Gaza Strip, along with several other senior leaders. The discussions focused on the latest developments in the Gaza Strip and the West Bank, the ongoing genocide perpetrated by the Israeli regime, as well as efforts regarding prisoner exchanges and strategies to confront the occupation.
Araghchi hailed what he described as the “legendary resilience of the Palestinian people in the face of the unprecedented crimes of the Israeli regime.” He stressed that Iran’s principled position remains rooted in full and continued support for the Palestinian nation’s legitimate and lawful struggle until all their usurped rights are restored.
The Iranian Foreign Minister strongly condemned the escalating crimes of the Israeli regime, including the imposition of starvation and famine on Gaza’s besieged population and the deliberate targeting of women and children waiting for food aid. He also pointed to the growing global demonstrations against Israel’s atrocities, calling them an undeniable sign of the international community’s awakening to the reality of genocide in Palestine.
Araghchi further emphasized the urgent need for coordinated action by Islamic nations to halt the genocide, deliver life-saving humanitarian aid to the people of Gaza, and hold Israeli leaders accountable for war crimes through international prosecution.
For his part, Khalil al-Hayya provided a detailed report on the catastrophic humanitarian situation in Gaza under relentless Israeli bombardment and siege. He praised the steadfast support of Iran’s leadership, government, and people for the Palestinian cause, as well as the solidarity shown by free peoples worldwide—particularly the heroic stance of Yemen in standing with Palestine.
Al-Hayya reaffirmed that despite the Israeli regime’s campaign of mass killings and destruction, it will never break the will and determination of the Palestinian nation to resist and defend its inalienable rights. He also called for intensified international efforts to lift the blockade on Gaza, accelerate the delivery of humanitarian aid, and mobilize global action against Israel’s occupation, genocide, and threats to regional stability.
The meeting in Doha underscored the deepening partnership between Iran and the Palestinian resistance, as both sides pledged to continue their coordinated efforts to defend the people of Gaza and confront Israeli aggression across the region. (ILKHA)
