Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian has conveyed his heartfelt condolences to Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan following a devastating fire at a ski resort in Bolu, northwest Turkiye, that claimed dozens of lives and left many injured.
In a message shared on Wednesday, President Pezeshkian expressed his sympathy to the Turkish people and the families of the victims of the tragic incident. He also extended wishes for a swift recovery to those injured in the fire.
The blaze erupted in the early hours of Tuesday on the fourth floor of a 12-storey hotel at the popular resort. Authorities have confirmed at least 79 fatalities, with 51 individuals injured in the incident.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation as rescue operations and recovery efforts continue. (ILKHA)
