The Islamic Resistance in Iraq launched a series of drone attacks targeting Israeli-occupied Palestinian territories on Friday, according to local reports.
The Iraq-based resistance group struck four “vital targets” in Israel, with three of the drone strikes occurring in southern parts of occupied Palestine and one in the Golan Heights.
These recent attacks are part of a broader escalation, as the group has also targeted American military bases in Iraq and Syria. The attacks are reportedly in response to U.S. support for Israel’s ongoing offensive in Gaza.
Since October 7, Israel has conducted extensive airstrikes across Gaza, reportedly targeting hospitals, residential buildings, and places of worship. These strikes followed the initiation of Operation Al-Aqsa Storm, a large-scale assault by Palestinian resistance groups on Israeli territories, marking a significant escalation in the conflict.
