Islamic aid organizations bring Eid al-Adha joy to hundreds of needy families in Nigeria

Four Islamic humanitarian organizations brought the joy of Eid al-Adha to life in Nigeria by organizing a large-scale sacrifice and meat distribution program that benefited hundreds of orphaned and low-income families.
The initiative was jointly carried out by Hope Caravan Foundation, Orphans Foundation, European Orphan Hand Association, and IHO EBRAR as part of their annual Qurbani (sacrifice) campaign. Sacrifices donated by generous benefactors from around the world were slaughtered and distributed to those in need, helping ensure that no family was left without meat during the sacred Eid holiday.
The slaughtering and distribution process began promptly after the Eid prayer and was carried out with precision and compassion by dedicated volunteer teams on the ground. Special emphasis was placed on reaching orphan children and impoverished households across the region.
Volunteers also took additional steps to make the Eid experience memorable for local children by distributing sweets and small gifts following the meat deliveries. The radiant smiles on the children’s faces reflected the spirit of generosity and community that defines Eid al-Adha.
Speaking on behalf of the participating aid organizations, volunteers expressed gratitude for the opportunity to serve the people of Nigeria.
“We are in Nigeria, Africa, for Qurbani donations. After the Eid prayer, we carried out the slaughtering process and distributed the meat to orphans and needy families here,” they said.
Local residents conveyed heartfelt thanks and prayers to the benefactors whose sacrifices brought joy to their homes. Many families, who rarely have access to meat, were able to prepare festive meals thanks to the aid—turning Eid into a time of celebration and dignity.
The successful completion of the Eid al-Adha campaign in Nigeria stands as a testament to the power of solidarity in the Islamic ummah and the vital role of charitable organizations in supporting vulnerable communities during religious holidays. (ILKHA)
