Israeli airstrikes kill 18 civilians in Gaza, including women and children

The Gaza Strip awoke once again to scenes of horror on Tuesday morning as the Israeli occupation army unleashed yet another wave of airstrikes and artillery shelling across the besieged Gaza Strip.
Dozens more were left wounded, many critically, in what Palestinians describe as deliberate targeting of displaced families and aid seekers.
In the west of Khan Younis, the occupation forces struck near the University College, where a tent sheltering displaced families was hit. Two civilians, including a child, were martyred on the spot. Hours later, four more Palestinians were killed and several injured after Israeli shells rained down on another tent for displaced persons near Fash Fursh in the Al-Mawasi area.
In Deir al-Balah, central Gaza, the Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital reported the killing of five Palestinians in the Al-Bassa area after Israeli strikes tore through makeshift tents of displaced families. Later, another five were killed in Israeli attacks targeting gatherings of civilians near the “Kissufim” site southeast of the city.
The northern Gaza Strip also witnessed carnage. Al-Shifa Hospital confirmed that two Palestinians were killed and at least 53 others injured after Israeli forces bombed crowds of citizens waiting for food aid in the Zikim area northwest of Beit Lahia. Survivors described scenes of horror as starving families were struck while standing in line for relief.
Just before midnight, the bloodshed extended to Gaza City, where Israeli shelling of the Al-Sabra neighborhood killed four civilians, including a journalist, and left many others wounded. Additional casualties were reported in Deir al-Balah, compounding the night of terror across the enclave.
According to the latest toll, the ongoing Israeli genocide against Gaza since October 7, 2023, has claimed the lives of 62,004 Palestinians, the majority being children and women. More than 156,230 have been wounded, with thousands still trapped under rubble or lying in the streets, unreachable due to Israel’s relentless bombardment and blockade on rescue crews.
Palestinian rights groups say the systematic targeting of displaced families, aid seekers, and journalists demonstrates Israel’s intent to annihilate Gaza’s civilian population under the cover of war. International humanitarian organizations have repeatedly warned that Gaza faces an unprecedented catastrophe, yet the world powers remain largely complicit through silence and continued support for Israel.
