Israeli airstrikes slaughter civilians, target aid workers in Gaza onslaught

Israeli occupation forces (IOF) launched a series of brutal airstrikes across the Gaza Strip in the early hours of Monday, killing at least six Palestinian civilians and injuring numerous others, including women and children.
According to medical officials at Al-Shifa Medical Complex, the strikes hit residential areas, displacement camps, and even aid distribution sites, underscoring what Palestinian authorities described as Israel’s deliberate war on both life and survival in Gaza.
One of the deadliest attacks occurred in the Al-Karama neighborhood northwest of Gaza City, where an Israeli missile flattened a civilian home, killing two Palestinians and leaving survivors trapped under rubble. Rescue crews worked frantically under continued bombardment to pull families from the debris.
In Khan Yunis, occupation forces bombed a tent sheltering displaced Palestinians in the Mawasi area — a zone previously labeled a “safe zone.” A woman was killed and seven others wounded in the strike, as families who had already fled their homes were forced once more to scatter amid fire and collapsing tents.
Perhaps the most shocking assault took place in central Gaza’s Deir al-Balah, where three Palestinian aid workers were martyred and several others injured when Israeli jets struck a humanitarian team delivering food and supplies to starving civilians. “This is a deliberate attack on our people’s survival,” declared a Gaza Health Ministry spokesperson. “Israel is targeting not only homes, but those who dare to feed the hungry.”
Additional airstrikes pounded the Zarqa and Jabalia areas of northern Gaza and demolished multiple homes in the Al-Zeitoun neighborhood southeast of Gaza City, continuing a campaign that has reduced entire neighborhoods to rubble and displaced tens of thousands more families.
Since October 2023, Israel’s genocidal offensive has killed over 40,000 Palestinians, including more than 15,000 children, and left tens of thousands wounded, according to the Gaza Health Ministry. Gaza’s already devastated infrastructure — hospitals, schools, and water systems — has been systematically targeted, leaving 2.3 million Palestinians in a state of collective punishment under siege.
Human rights organizations warn that 90% of Gaza’s population is now displaced, crammed into overcrowded tents or makeshift shelters, with little to no access to clean water, food, or medicine. The United Nations has repeatedly cautioned of imminent famine in northern Gaza, a crisis worsened by Israel’s blockade and its refusal to allow aid convoys to reach starving civilians.
The Palestinian Center for Human Rights reported 15 separate Israeli airstrikes on Sunday alone, primarily hitting civilian infrastructure and further obstructing humanitarian relief. Palestinian officials say these actions confirm that Israel’s intent is not defense, but the systematic destruction of Palestinian life.
Despite the mounting evidence of atrocities, the response of the so-called “international community” remains muted. While millions protest from London to Jakarta, demanding justice and an end to the occupation, Western powers continue to arm and shield Israel diplomatically, enabling its crimes with impunity.
As Gaza buries its martyrs, its people remain unbroken. Families, doctors, and aid workers continue to resist despair, tending to the wounded and feeding the hungry under bombardment. Palestinian leaders and activists call on the world to rise against Israel’s crimes, demand an immediate ceasefire, lift the suffocating blockade, and ensure accountability for war crimes committed against the Palestinian people.
