Israeli airstrikes target Syrian defense facilities near Aleppo

In a blatant violation of international law and Syrian sovereignty, Israeli military aircraft launched an unprovoked attack on Syrian defense facilities in the eastern countryside of Aleppo late Thursday night.
This act of aggression targeted arms production sites essential for Syria's national defense, according to local sources.
Concurrently, Israeli occupation forces have unlawfully advanced to the al-Mantara Dam in the Quneitra countryside, the largest dam in southern Syria. This incursion has led to the illegal seizure of the buffer zone east of the Golan, encompassing six bodies of water and the strategic Mount Hermon peak.
Earlier reports from the Israeli newspaper Yedioth Ahronoth revealed that the Israeli occupation military's operations in Syria are extensive, equivalent to the deployment of two regular brigades. The occupation's expansionist agenda includes an "urgent plan to reinforce control over Syrian Mount Hermon," involving the establishment of military positions at altitudes of 2,400 meters and 2,800 meters. This plan entails constructing long-term infrastructure to support hundreds of occupying forces, complete with supply depots and access roads from the Israeli side, further entrenching their illegal presence in Syrian territory.
These aggressive actions by the Israeli regime represent a flagrant breach of Syria's sovereignty and territorial integrity, undermining regional stability and peace. The international community must condemn these violations and hold Israel accountable for its continuous acts of aggression against sovereign nations. (ILKHA)
